HP StorageWorks D2600 Disk Enclosure Overview

HP storage works D2600 Disk Enclosures are modular, flexible solutions that simplify capacity expansion while providing cost-effective direct-attach storage for HP servers.

The HP StorageWorks D2600 Disk Enclosure is 6 Gb SAS enclosures , Large Form Factor (LFF) with 12 drive bays provide modular solutions to simplify capacity expansion of HP ProLiant and Integrity server environments and MSA Arrays (only SFF) to external storage without having SAN or NAS.

This allows the user to buy for today and purchase additional capacity for future storage needs.Total support can grow from a few drives to up to 96 LFF or 200 SFF drives as needed.

D2600 disk enclosure has a highly flexible platform to support additional drives and enclosures.

The HP D2600 Disk Enclosures uses familiar HP ProLiant management tools including HP Systems Insight Manager and the HP Array Configuration Utility (ACU) software.

The HP D2600 Disk Enclosures are compatible with selected HP Smart Array SAS Controllers. HP D2600 Disk Enclosures double the transfer rate of current 3 Gb solutions, adding crucial bandwidth.

D2600 is designed for a high level of data protection with redundant fans and power supplies and supports various RAID levels including RAID6 with ADG, 50 & 60.

Hassle free expansion – little IT expertise required. Familiar ProLiant management tools provided via the Smart Controller – SIM, ACU, ORCA. Easy removal of parts provides better serviceability.

Configuration tips: By attaching up to four D2600 enclosures from a single Controller port, for expansion of 96 drives or up to 8 enclosures, to increase storage capacity easily as storage demands rise.

Workloads: For small application environments in medium and small businesses, departmental locations and remote offices.
