HP ProLiant DL980 G7 server with HP PREMA Architecture, is an eight-socket with smart CPU caching and a redundant system fabric, is designed to reduce bottlenecks, improve throughput and performance

With 128 memory slots, the DL980 offers more memory. The DL580-series servers support up to 1TB of expandable memory and also run on Intel’s Xeon 7500 series processors.

Our configuration Tips:

Scale-up Windows and Linux environments supporting large database instances that need a server highly resourced with processors, memory, and IO capacity. Resource-intensive workloads that require > 4 vCPUs, >16GB of memory, and high I/O rates; databases (Oracle DB, SQL Server, DB2) and applications like SAP and Share Point Applications with requirements that are CPU, memory, and I/O intensive and require large memory footprint, 64 processing cores, and substantial I/O

Workloads:

Large Databases—OLTP and Decision Support, Consolidation and Virtualization, CPU, Memory, or IO Intensive Applications
