Dell PowerVault MD1200 Storage Overview
The Dell PowerVault MD1200 storage array is designed to work with Dell PowerEdge™ servers, using the PERC H800 HostRAID adapter.
This expansion array features twelve 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SAS HDDs and SAS SSDs in a 2U platform and can be expanded up to 8 arrays behind a single PERC H800 HostRAID adapter.
Dell™ PowerVault™ MD1200 enclosure supports SAS hot-pluggable HDDs (hard-disk drives) and SSDs** (solid-state drives).
The PowerVault MD 1200 storage array has leading performance SAN and direct-attached storage arrays, outstanding -capacity expansion enclosures and robust management software that together deliver superior flexibility, value, and scalability.
Configuration tips: The MD1200 is also had the ability to split between 2 hosts, providing storage economy for smaller environments.
The PowerVault MD1200 is also exceptionally scalable, with high -capacity of up to 48TB per enclosure, and has the capability to daisy-chain up to 8 enclosures 4 per port in single path per PERC H800 or up to 4 enclosures connected to both ports through redundant path cabling per PERC H800 with redundancy for increased fault tolerance .
